Weekday Morning Private Rising Prayers

As I rouse body, mind, heart and soul,
I come to You...
You are my Core, my Ground,
my Foundation.

Birchot HaShahar-Sunrise Blessings
Garbing in sacred dress

With day's start, You call me
to enter under the fringes...
open my soul...
and walk toward the sacred...

How vast are You...Garbed in splendor...
Wrapped in Light as in a robe...
Drawing forth the heavens as a curtain...

Behold, I wrap myself in tzitzit as You taught,
"Make fringes on the corners of your garments
   throughout your generations."

Just as I enfold myself in tallit in this world,
so may my soul be cloaked in a radiant tallit
in the World to Come, in Gan Eden.

I am ready to come under Your wings
and be held by the cloth of Your love.

Baruch Atah Adonai Eloheinu Melech HaOlam Asher Kidshanu B'Mitzvotav
V'Tzivanu L'Hitatef Ba'Tzitzit

Blessings to You my God, Creator of the Universe, Who calls me to know sacredness
through wrapping in tzitzit.

How precious, Your loving-kindness...
all creatures, in the shadow of Your wings, take refuge...
filled with choice food of Your house, from Your spring of delights, we drink.

For with You is the Source of Life.
In Your Light do we see light.

Adon Olam
Shaper of the Universe Who rules...
before all that was created was formed...
At that time of Making... all sprung from desire...
and all called You, their Source.

My Path for this Day
Natilat Yadayim

As I rise from Your hands
I rinse off the Night from my soul...
and dedicate myself...

to open and enjoy this day of life,
to lift towards goodness and Light,
to care for myself with kindness,
   to be with others lovingly,
to let my deepest self emerge.

Help me to stand moored on this earth...
and to walk clearly and gently in this world...

The Miracle of my Body

You gave me my body, my vessel in this life.
And infused her with Wisdom.

Help me to care for her this day...
to listen to her that she might teach me.

Kindle my heart
that her Light might illuminate my being...

Thank You for restoring my body to life...
for shaping me full of Wonders.

I give thanks to You for the living miracle of my body.

Asher Yatzar
Blessings to You my Source, Creator of the Universe,
Who with Wisdom has shaped human beings...
Creating within a vastness of passages and corridors.

Revealed and known it is before Your Throne of Glory,
if one of these be opened or one of these be shut closed,
it would be impossible to exist, to stand before You.

Blessings to You, Healer of all,
Who continuously shapes Wonders.

The Beauty of my Soul

V'Y'hi Ratzon
May it be Your will my God and God of my ancestors,
that I walk with Your teachings, cleave to Your pathways.

Do not bring me into the hands of sin, transgression, temptation or disgrace.
Do not let my Yetzer HaRah rule over me.
Keep me far from evil people and evil companions.
Help me cling to my Yetzer HaTov and to good actions.
Turn both my inclinations to serve You.

May I both give and receive,
with You and all whom I am with this day,
grace, loving-kindness, and deep compassion.

Blessings to You, Who draws me near in Loving-Kindness.

From the wholeness of my heart
I bring to You as a peace-offering
my self, my being.

As I enter this day
I release all I hold onto,
I place myself into Your hands,
   I surrender to Your will.
