Psalm 6: Be kind to me

Be kind to me, for I am languishing.
Heal me,
for fear nests in my bones.

How long shall I linger here?

Return and deliver my soul.
Save me for Your memory does not linger in death.
In Sheol, who will give thanks to You?

I am weary with my groaning.
Each night I make my bed swim,
I melt my couch away with tears,
my eyes are dimmed from anguish.

I am becoming like an ancient one from all my trials
