Psalm 74: Remember the oppressed

You cleave fountain and brook and dry up ever-flowing rivers.
Day is Yours, Night is Yours as well.
You established light and the sun.
You carved out the borders of the earth.
You created summer and winter.

Don't give the soul of the turtle-dove to the wild beast.
Don't forget the life of Your poor.

Remember Your covenant,
for the dark places of the earth are filled with habitations of violence.
Don't let the oppressed turn back in confusion,
for the poor and needy praise Your name.

Look at what the enemy has done.
Come out and shine forth.

Psalm 80: Shepherd of Israel, shine forth

Shepherd of Israel, give ear.
You Who lead Joseph like a flock, shine forth!

Before Ephraim, Benjamin and Manasseh, stir up Your power.
Save us, God, restore us!
Cause Your face to shine
and we shall be saved.
