Psalm 8: What are we that You remember us?

Oh my God, my Source, how glorious is Your name in all the earth!
Your majesty shines above the heavens.
Out of the mouths of sucklings and babes, You garner strength.
You still the enemy and the avenger.

When I see Your heavens, the works of Your fingers,
the moon and the stars which You have established,
what are we that You remember us,
we, mortals that You even think of us?

Yet You've made us little lower than the angels,
crowning us with glory and honor.

You've placed us as guardians, over all the works of Your hands,
all life You've placed in our care.
Sheep and oxen, all the beasts of the fields,
birds of the heavens, fish of the ocean, and
all that passes through the seas.

My Source, my God, how glorious is Your name in all the earth!
