Psalm 42: I have praises within me

As the gazelle pants after brooks of water, so does my soul long for You.
My tears have been my bread by day and night, while some say to me,  "Where is your God?"

These things my soul remembers and pours out: how during the holy days I passed with the throngs,
leading them to Your house with a voice full of joy and thanksgiving.

Why are you cast down my soul, why do you moan within me?

For I put my hope in You....
By day You bequeath loving-kindness and in the night a song is within me,
a prayer to You, One of my life.

Psalm 57: I will wake the dawn

Be gracious to me, please, be gracious to me, for my soul takes refuge in You.
In the shadow of Your wings I seek safety until the calamities pass by.

My soul rests among lions, I lie down among those aflame,
whose teeth are spears and arrows, whose tongues are sharp swords.
But my heart is steadfast, and I sing songs of soul.

Awake my glory, wake flute and harp, I will wake the dawn.
For Your loving-kindness fills the heavens, Your truth, the skies.
And above the heavens, Your glory shimmers over all the earth.
