Psalm 116-I lift my cup to You

You heard my voice and my supplications when the cords of death encompassed me,
when the straits of Sheol found me, and trouble and sorrow, were my companions.
When I called, "I beseech You, deliver my soul...."

Gracious are You and compassionate, You, Guardian of the simple.
I was brought low, but You saved me.

Return, oh my soul, to your rest, for Your Source has delivered you from death.
My eyes are freed from tears... my feet from stumbling.
I shall walk now before You in the land of the living.

How can I repay You for your bountiful dealings with me?
I lift up my cup to You and I shall call You all my days.
